The Howl of the Chimeras
NOTE: THIS IS A PAST EVENT
The bitter taste of the inevitable is well present. The descent into madness is an integral part of the story, but here the supernatural elements do not threaten the existence of humanity, nor do they inevitably drive crazy those who catch even a glimpse of its meagre magnificence. On the contrary; they are so subtle that it is possible to wonder if they are real or not. Isn't that precisely what it means to go mad?
This adventure takes place in the final stretch of Queen Victoria's reign, at an indeterminate point on the coast of Scotland, not too far from neighbouring England.
In addition to a wealthy aristocrat, Lord Dewar is a doctor, taxidermist and expert in anthropology and the occult. In his youth he was a hunter and explorer in Africa, South America and Asia. He has lived countless adventures during his travels and it is rumoured that he has brought back with him a very valuable Inca treasure, over which, of course, a terrible curse is said to weigh.
...But these rumours will not stop a group of unscrupulous scoundrels (you!) from trying to steal it:
Do you want to become Arthur Wilthshire; Lord Dewar's ambitious and determined nephew? A gentleman who, despite not having noble blood like his uncle, does not hesitate to defend his honour in a duel when necessary.
Do you want to embody Sir Jasper Bramley; Arthur's best friend and former Laird's pupil? A mathematics genius fond of gambling.
Would you like to be Gladys Cosgrove; Arthur's fiancée? A young and beautiful opera singer acclaimed on the stages of London.
Together you will unravel Lord Dewar's secrets and the enigmatic spa in which he has turned his estate... But be careful, because in Dewar Manor things are not always what they seem.
