The power of the dark forces grows! Long before humanity dared to call itself the dominant form of life on Earth, there were many others. But whether it was due to the elements, predators, or their own excessive ambition, all of these powerful civilizations ended in ruin. Knowledge of these species has been kept hidden from humanity, and yet, in these lost stories lies the only hope for the survival of humanity. To protect this world from the imminent threat of the Ancient One, a few brave investigators must discover this forgotten lore. The Forgotten Lore expansion includes a new Ancient One, in addition to new Mystery cards for the Ancient Ones from the base box, hundreds of new stories to solve encounters and new Artifacts, Supports and Spells that investigators can use against the Ancient Ones.
