The bitter taste of the inevitable is well present. The descent into madness is an integral part of the story, but here the supernatural elements do not threaten the existence of humanity, nor do they inevitably drive anyone who glimpses even a shadow of their meager magnificence mad. On the contrary; they are so subtle that one can wonder if they are real or not. Isn't that precisely what it means to lose one's reason?
This adventure takes place in the final years of Queen Victoria's reign, in an undetermined location on the coast of Scotland, not too far from neighboring England.
In addition to being a wealthy aristocrat, Lord Dewar is a doctor, taxidermist, and expert in anthropology and occult sciences. In his youth, he was a hunter and explorer in Africa, South America, and Asia. He has had countless adventures throughout his travels, and rumors have it that he has brought with him a valuable Inca treasure, which, of course, is said to be cursed.
...But these rumors will not stop a group of unscrupulous scoundrels (that's you!) from attempting to steal it:
Do you want to become Arthur Wilthshire; the ambitious and determined nephew of Lord Dewar? A gentleman who, despite not having noble blood like his uncle, does not hesitate to defend his honor through duels when necessary.

Would you like to be Gladys Cosgrove; Arthur's fiancee? A young and beautiful opera singer acclaimed on the stages of London.
Together, you will uncover the secrets of Lord Dewar and the enigmatic spa he has turned his estate into... But be careful, because things are not always what they seem at Dewar Manor.
