The Call of Cthulhu

A silent adaptation of Lovecraft's story made in 2005. The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society of the United States was the promoter and producer of this film, which used modern recording techniques and vintage elements to recreate the aesthetic of the 1920s. The movie's music is inspired by the classic sounds that accompanied productions from that time period.

Dagon

A Spanish-American movie directed by Stuart Gordon and released in 2001. This film is an adaptation of Lovecraft's story "The Shadow over Innsmouth" from 1931 and features a cast including Ezra Godden, Raquel Meroño, Francisco Rabal, and Macarena Gómez.

Color Out of Space

Another movie based on an H.P. Lovecraft story, directed by Richard Stanley and starring Nicolas Cage. This horror film premiered in 2019 and is based on Lovecraft's eponymous story. The music and direction stand out in this adaptation.

The Whisperer in Darkness
